The company is a scam. They advertise services for one price and after you sign up you have to pay for a premium membership fee. I requested a refund within 10 minutes after I signed up and they refused. You are better off using My Fitness Pal for free.
This was a complete waste of my money. This app doesn’t do anything more special than the next macro app other than persistent advertising which works. Since they don’t offer a free trial or refunds I’m stuck with my poor decision. The “Lose It” app offers the same and more for free but if you chose to get the yearly membership it is less than a third the cost of Macrostax. Don’t waste your money

SCAM!!! They charge you without authorization for renewal. They don’t prorate cancellation either. You get billed for a whole year without notice.
My experience has always been incredible! If I had things come up where I needed to cancel I did so without issue. For me the app is amazing… I love that if I have a craving like fast food I can input and still hit my numbers despite a craving. Each time I get on here within a week I see noticeable results. This is literally my most favorite app. I have siblings and none of them liked the layout of the app and choose not to use it but for me I’m a lifer. Especially since I hate having to calculate macros and food.
Never experienced bad billing issues or customer service issues — nothing but love for my stax.
Does not offer refunds after autorenewing. We did not get a reminder or anything saying it was time to renew. Only reason I knew it did was I saw the charge go thru. Doesn't come with an app and is web based. Could be so much better but they haven't changed anything in the last year.
I have been using Macrostax for about 2 months and I'm very happy with their web app. You enter your info and they build a custom macro plan for your body type, your goals and according to your activity level. When you see that you have lost enough on "fatloss" plan, you can then switch to muscle gain plans. They have an extensive database of foods and recipes to add to your daily logs. They even have a "fill macros" option to find food whose macros match what you have left for the day. Their facebook community is super helpful with answers for newbies and food and recipe ideas. I have lost about 6 lbs in two months and more importantly, I feel great and my midsection has gotten a lot tighter since using the app. I eat anything I want as long as they fit in my macros. I can't recommend it enough. Logging everything to hit the numbers is a little work, but nothing worth having is easy. Most people complaining here sound like they didn't want to do the work. Thank you Macrostax ☺️
Billed me two years in a row without notice. They wouldn’t even give me a complete refund. The only reason I noticed was because it showed up in my statement. There are better alternatives than this app so if you value your money look elsewhere.
Total SCAM! I cancelled my account and they continued to bill me for three months. I provided a copy of my cancellation and they responded that I didn’t respond to an email. NOWHERE in their policy does it say you must respond to an email. I’m still fighting for three months refund. The macro calculations are generic and not accurate. I hired a professional and my numbers were way different and I’m seeing results. Don’t waste your money !
Pretty unimpressive and inconvenient- (I'm in Canada) the database is not very large- had to spend a lot of time entering food labels in- and the macros didn't match. When I contacted them about this, I was tols they have experts on staff that calculate, so their formulas were exact.... pretty sure the people putting together the fresh fruit and oat cups that have labels know their own food, so.... Also no print friendly recipes- which the recipes with macro breakdown were the only reason I left myfitnesspal and PAID for this. The interface for mobile is glitchy. No refunds, and I knew by end of day 2 of my YEAR subscription that I disliked it and it wasn't what I wanted/was going to benefit me the most. Do not recommend, myfitnesspal has a bigger database, and is easier to use.
I had signed up for this app and when I signed up it wasn't really what I was looking for, so I reached out to "William" and stated that I was not going to be counting macronutrients after all and decided that it was not for me after getting into the app because I felt they gave me EXTREMELY high calorie staring range for just me trying to lose weight, I mean even for losing weight slow I would have GAINED weight with that number., mind you, they don't even have an "app" you have to save it to your home screen. I tried literally that night that I signed up to get a refund and they told me that "if I needed any help using the app that I could reach out to them". I won't have any use in the app though, so that is pointless. Being in a pandemic and money being extremely tight for me right now they couldn't give me my 20 dollars back for whatever reason, because "it was tailored to my exact macros for 3 phases". I understand it says no refunds when you sign up but I thought maybe he would understand in this situation. This is complete ripoff "good value for what the app is" when you can get this stuff on myfitness pal for FREE. I've had where people have refunded me before on a month's use even when it asked the same questions this app did...
